Orbit / For accountants

For accountants & bookkeepers

Books an accountant can trust. Clients an accountant can keep.

Real double-entry underneath, the statutory and management views of the same trading, exports that reconcile, and one login across every client you run.

What you get

The ledger, the reports, and the exports, done properly.

Everything a sceptical accountant checks in the first ten minutes of a demo.

Real double-entry

Invoices, bills, payments, journals and bank reconciliation post to a proper ledger, with a trial balance that balances.

The reports you ask for

Profit and loss, balance sheet, general ledger, trial balance, partner ledger, aged receivable and payable, VAT return and partner statements.

Exports that behave

Every list and report exports to CSV and Excel that tie back to the ledger, so what you take out reconciles to what is in.

Statutory and management books

One set of trading, reported two ways: the book you file and the book you manage by, entered once.

Multi-company, one login

Hold each client as its own company, switch between them from one place, and consolidate a group when a client needs it.

Close and audit trail

A period you can lock, an audit log of who did what, and nightly checks on the money so surprises surface early.

Two views of the same trading

Entered once. Reported the way the filing wants, and the way you manage.

The statutory book

What gets filed: clean, consistent, and reconciled, ready for the return and the auditor.

The management book

The statutory book plus anything posted only there, so the owner sees how the business is really doing without touching what gets filed.

Work with us

An accountant who likes Orbit is worth more than an ad.

A bookkeeper who trusts the books brings clients across without being asked. If Orbit keeps your clients' numbers clean, we would rather grow with you than around you. Tell us how you work and we will set you up to run several clients on it.

Answers

For the accountant's first ten minutes.

Can I work across several clients in Orbit?
Yes. Orbit is multi-company, so you can hold each client as its own company with its own books and switch between them from one login, with a group view when a client runs more than one entity.
Does Orbit export to my tax or accounts software?
Every list and report exports to CSV and Excel that tie back to the ledger, so you can take the trial balance, the general ledger or the VAT figures into whatever you file with. Orbit does not claim a direct integration with tax packages; it gives you clean exports.
Is Orbit real double-entry accounting?
Yes. Invoices, bills, payments, journals and bank reconciliation all post to a proper double-entry ledger, with a trial balance that balances and nightly checks on the money. It is not a spreadsheet with an accounts tab bolted on.
Can I give a client read-only access?
Yes. Roles and permissions are yours to design per company, so a client can see their reports without being able to change the postings, and a portal lets a customer or supplier see only their own.

See the books on a real set of numbers.

Bring a client's trial balance and we will show you Orbit keeping it, statutory and management side by side.
